Around 1760, he came to America with his wife (unknown) and five children: John, James, Thomas, Jane and David. The family settled in York Co., PA. In 1783 most of the family moved to Washington Co., PA. |

In 1803, the forefathers of Samuel Gregg came from Scotland to America. Samuel Gregg was born March 3, 1826 and died June 1, 1894. He married Mary Ann Sheaffer, November 30, 1858. They had eleven children: Ella Serene, Ida Cordelia, Alfred Sheaffer, Mary Elizabeth, Anna Elnora, Martin Swegert, Harry Atmer, John Diller, Amos Franklin, Jason Clarence, and Laura Elma. Some members of this family lived in Massachusetts. |
